• All Players will only need to attend one of the tryouts  

Location:

• Check In will be at HBA Park

Age Group Placement:

Players will be placed on teams corresponding with their respective grade levels during the season so long as a player’s birthdate falls within the specified age group before May 1 of the season they are playing in. For example, if a player is in 3rd grade during the season but will turn 10 on or before April 30th of that season, that player must play for the 10U age group rather than the 9U age group. Any player entering the 1st grade that tries out for and is eligible to be placed on an 8U roster will be placed on the lower skill level team. The higher skill level team roster will be exclusively for those players entering 2nd grade unless not enough 2nd grade players tried out to fill a twelve man roster. The general age groups based on grade levels are as follows:

• 8u: 1st and 2nd grade
• 9u: 3rd grade
• 10u: 4th grade
• 11u: 5th grade
• 12u: 6th grade
• 13u: 7th grade
• 14u: 8th grade

Residency:

All Hudson Baseball Association players must reside in the boundaries of the Hudson City School District as of the day the player tries out except:

• When the player does not reside in the boundaries of the Hudson City School District as of the day the player tries out, but the parent(s) or guardian(s) confirm, in writing, that they will be moving to the Hudson City School District within three months of the tryout date. If the player does not move to the Hudson City School District within that three-month time period, then that player’s roster spot will be forfeitedd; or
• Children of the current Hudson High School Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman head baseball coaches if the coaches do not live in the boundaries of the Hudson City School District. This exception is made in recognition of the time and effort these coaches dedicate to Hudson baseball and to the development of baseball players in the Hudson City School District.
